House Rules

When using the XRocket LLC Platform, you agree to abide by the rules and guidelines set forth in the Terms of Use and these Internal Rules, which have been established to make clear your rights and responsibilities as a user of our platform.

The role of XRocket LLC as a platform is to provide our creators with the tools to help them build successful online businesses, based on courses and coaching. Creators (also known as "Primary School Owners") are responsible for establishing and maintaining a direct relationship with their audience and students, while XRocket will assist where possible. As a student, if you have any questions or concerns regarding a creator's offering on the platform, please contact the creator directly. If attention is not given, please address XRocket LLC. Authors, affiliates, non-primary owners, and other custom users should also contact the creator directly. If attention is not given, please contact XRocket LLC.

If you suspect that someone is violating these House Rules or the Terms of Use of XRocket LLC, please contact XRocket LLC Customer Support. XRocket LLC will review your complaint and take appropriate action as necessary.

Creator Responsibilities

Managing your school

By signing up with XRocket LLC as a creator, you become the "primary owner" of all schools you create in your XRocket LLC account. As the primary owner, you are responsible for these schools.

Primary owners have rights above and beyond other administrator accounts associated with the school. Primary owners are the only users who can delete a school or regain access to associated accounts if the associated email addresses are removed. If you created a school but did not intend to be the primary owner of the school, you can transfer ownership of the account through your dashboard.

Managing associated accounts

You are responsible for managing other administrator accounts associated with your school, including non-primary owners, custom users, and authors.

XRocket LLC provides various tools to facilitate your relationship with your partners, but you are responsible for managing these relationships. As a platform provider, XRocket LLC will assist in mediating disputes between you and your partners.

Creating your school's terms

Each creator and marketplace offering is different, so it is crucial that your school's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy reflect your specific business structure and industry.

Creators can learn more about drafting their terms in the XRocket LLC Knowledge Base.

Structuring and monitoring your school's compliance

You are responsible for ensuring that your school complies with the laws and standards applicable to your industry. For example, if you teach courses on financial literacy, you are responsible for ensuring that your company complies with applicable consumer protection laws.

Similarly, you are responsible for ensuring that your students comply with your school's policies and guidelines and those of XRocket LLC. Creators must remove students and other users from their schools who do not follow the Terms of Use, House Rules, and content guidelines of XRocket LLC.

Providing content, products, and other services outside the platform

The XRocket LLC platform is designed to help creators develop and sell their online course businesses and related services on the XRocket LLC platform. The XRocket LLC platform is not set up for creators to sell other types of products, such as physical products.

XRocket LLC Support is trained to assist with questions and concerns related to XRocket LLC platform functionality. XRocket LLC is not involved, does not have visibility into, and cannot provide support for services or products offered outside the platform.

Any services, products, communications, or other parts of your business outside the platform are not eligible for XRocket LLC support services.

Creators can customize their web pages on the XRocket LLC platform through code and third-party integrations. The creator is fully responsible for any customization of their web pages on XRocket LLC. XRocket LLC is not responsible for—and does not provide any support services for—customizations, including but not limited to, troubleshooting HTML, CSS, or other custom code.

Keep in mind that XRocket LLC regularly updates platform features and that these updates may interfere with creator customization.

Providing good customer service

While there are businesses of all shapes and sizes, a key element to success is providing good customer service.

By offering a business through the XRocket LLC platform, you commit to respecting your students, including offering a way for them to contact you with questions, responding directly to student inquiries in a timely manner, and resolving disputes with your customers and employees.

Backing up your content

XRocket LLC is not intended to be used as a backup for your content. Be safe and maintain a secure copy of all content uploaded to XRocket LLC, including content uploaded by other administrator users associated with your school, such as owners and non-primary authors.

Being transparent in your sales practices

As a business owner, setting clear expectations about what you offer is not just good business, it's the law.

Including important information on your sales page

Your sales pages are expected to include all important terms about your offering that someone should know before purchasing, such as pricing information, how customers can contact you if they have issues, and your cancellation and refund policies.

Setting a reasonable timeframe for content availability

You are expected to establish reasonable and realistic terms for when and for how long students will have access to your courses after purchase. Unless you provide students with the option to download all content from your offering, you cannot advertise that the student will have unlimited or lifetime access.

Paying special attention to refunds and pre-sales

Refunds

As a creator, if you are selling a course through XRocket LLC, XRocket LLC's standard 14-day refund policy will automatically apply to your sale, unless you obtain an exemption from XRocket LLC. To request an exemption allowing you to set your own custom refund policy, you will need to contact XRocket LLC customer support and provide justification for your request. XRocket LLC's finance team, at its sole discretion, will determine if your offerings are eligible for the exemption. Read more about XRocket LLC's refund policy.

Pre-sales

If you are planning to offer a pre-sale (i.e., selling your offering before your content is available for use by purchasing students), there are important elements of your offering that need to be included on your sales page:

- Explain that the content will only be available in the future. Make it clear that your content will only be available later.

- Inform when the content will be available. Let students know when they can expect the content to be published. Not doing this on your sales page may result in contact from our risk team. Additionally, if your content is not yet available on the specified date, your payments may be delayed.

- Provide a description of the content. Include a clear description of what the content will include.

Fulfilling what you promised

After setting clear expectations for your students, they will expect you to fulfill them. This includes delivering the promised content on the expected date and including all support and other resources you advertised. Failing to fulfill promises made may result in customer complaints, refund requests, and chargebacks. XRocket LLC may also take further action, including withholding payments, blocking your checkout page, and terminating your account.

Offering delivery outside the platform

While delivering your content outside the platform is not against our rules, the XRocket LLC platform is not intended to be used exclusively for payment processing purposes. If you plan to deliver content outside of our platform, we ask that you use your sales page to let XRocket LLC and your students know where it will be delivered.

Protecting the Personal Information of Your Users

As a creator on the XRocket LLC platform, you are responsible for safeguarding the personal information of your users and complying with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

When you offer courses or other services through the XRocket LLC platform, XRocket LLC will share with you certain personal information about the students who enroll in your offerings, such as the student's name, email address, and purchase details. You may also collect additional personal information about your students and other customers through direct interactions with them inside and outside the platform, their participation in your course, tracking tools, or integrations.

You are responsible for handling all customer personal information that you process through the XRocket LLC platform in accordance with the XRocket LLC Data Processing Agreement, XRocket LLC Privacy Policy, and applicable privacy and protection laws. This includes informing your customers how you will collect and use their personal information, establishing your school's Privacy Policy, as well as obtaining consent from your users before collecting and sharing their personal information, as applicable. For more information on setting up your Privacy Policy, please refer to the XRocket LLC Knowledge Base.

Privacy laws are complex, rapidly evolving, and vary from place to place. If you have any questions about your obligations in this area, we encourage you to consult with a privacy professional. XRocket LLC's customer support team cannot assist you with this topic.

Sharing Personal Information of Your Users

By offering your courses and other services through the XRocket LLC platform, you agree to protect the privacy of your users by adhering to the following:

• Not to sell, trade, or rent personal information collected from your students and other customers through the XRocket LLC platform; and

• Not to share or otherwise disclose personal information that you collect from your students and other customers through the XRocket LLC platform with other individuals for their own commercial purposes, unless the user has first given written permission to do so.

Confidential Personal Information

XRocket LLC does not permit creators to maintain confidential personal information on the XRocket LLC platform, such as a student's health information or financial account information. To the extent that creators offer courses where confidential information may be shared, such information should not be shared or kept on the platform, such as in the comments feature or admission forms.

Responding to Data Privacy Requests

When XRocket LLC receives a user privacy request regarding the personal information that XRocket LLC is hosting, XRocket LLC will assist the creator by fulfilling the request to the extent that the user's personal information is hosted on XRocket LLC. However, the creator is still responsible for fulfilling the request to the extent that the creator is processing the user's personal information outside of the XRocket LLC platform.

For example, when a student submits a deletion request, XRocket LLC will delete the student's information on the XRocket LLC Platform. However, the creator is still responsible for deleting the student's data to the extent that they store it elsewhere, and instructing their service providers to do the same.

Creators are also responsible for notifying XRocket LLC within three business days if they receive a privacy request from their users involving data hosted by XRocket LLC. For more information on your privacy responsibilities as a creator on the XRocket LLC platform, please refer to the XRocket LLC Data Processing Agreement and XRocket LLC Privacy Policy.

Protecting Your Intellectual Property

Monitoring and Enforcing the Use of Your Content by Third Parties

Understanding that your intellectual property is one of your most valuable assets, we have structured our platform to keep your content secure. However, there is no way to completely prevent piracy. As the owner of an online course business, you are responsible for protecting and monitoring the use of your intellectual property by third parties.

When XRocket LLC is notified that there is infringing content on the XRocket LLC platform, XRocket LLC will immediately remove the infringing material in accordance with our DMCA process. To submit a copyright complaint, please fill out the XRocket LLC DMCA takedown notification form.

If you discover that someone is displaying your content without permission on another website, we recommend that you contact the site hosting the content, as XRocket LLC can only remove material that is on its own platform.

Student Responsibilities

Reading the Fine Print

We ask our creators to be transparent about their offerings and to share all relevant terms of their products on their sales pages. In turn, students also have a responsibility to understand the school's refund policy, the promised content, and the payment plan they are signing up for.

If you have any questions about a course or other offering, please contact the school directly.

Understanding Your Privacy Rights and Obligations

As a student, when you enroll in a course or other offering on the XRocket LLC platform, XRocket LLC will collect certain information about you on behalf of the creator whose offering you are enrolling in. This information is shared with the creator so they can provide you with their services. Examples of information collected include your email address, purchase information, and course enrollment. For more information on how XRocket LLC handles your personal information, please visit the XRocket LLC Privacy Policy.

A creator may also directly collect certain personal information from you through school pages, direct interactions with you inside or outside the platform, or through integrations. In these cases, the creator is primarily responsible for how they handle and protect your information. Review the creator's privacy policy and contact them if you have any questions about how they use your personal information.

Remember that the information you share through comments may be shared with other school participants or publicly, depending on the school's environment. It is up to the creator to determine the visibility settings of their lectures, including comments.

We ask that you exercise caution when deciding which personal information you want to share and refrain from sharing your own and third-party's confidential personal information.

Contacting the School

Creators are responsible for the businesses they run through the XRocket LLC platform. As such, they are responsible for providing customer support related to their offerings.

This means that if you have any questions or issues about a creator's offering, your first and best point of contact will be the creator. They will be able to assist you with any questions about their content, obtaining refunds, or even compliments. As a platform service provider, XRocket LLC is not involved and cannot assist you with questions about a school's content or policies.

Reporting Creators and Other Users

XRocket LLC is designed for creators to be responsible for resolving questions, issues, and disputes directly with their students. However, there are certain behaviors and content that XRocket LLC does not tolerate on the XRocket LLC platform.

If you would like XRocket LLC to review a creator or other user for violating XRocket LLC's terms, please contact XRocket LLC customer support. XRocket LLC will review your complaint and take appropriate action as necessary.

Please note that XRocket LLC's review of violation of our policies is confidential, and we cannot share details about the actions that have been taken. If you feel unsafe, we recommend that you contact the authorities directly.
